Dr McNutt earned his medical and PhD degrees from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed residencies in internal medicine and clinical genetics and a fellowship in endocrinology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He is board certified in internal medicine; endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism; and clinical genetics and genomics. His primary clinical focus if the care of adolescents and adults with inborn errors of metabolism.
Dr McNutt is currently an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and Core Director of the Human Genetics Clinical Laboratory. Dr McNutt has served as a principal investigator or coinvestigator for more than a dozen clinical trials and has published more than 25 articles, posters, and abstracts.
